Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB Zones)
The HUBZone Empowerment Contracting program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997. The program falls under the auspices of the US Small Business Administration. The program encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones - "HUBZones" - through the establishment of preferences. SBA's HUBZone program is in line with the efforts of both the Administration and Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more Federal contracting opportunities
GSA Listing (General Services Administration)
The GSA secures the buildings, products, services, technology, and other workplace essentials federal agencies need. Once your product is on the GSA Schedule, government agencies may use a government issued credit card to buy your product without further approval. Getting your products listed properly can be difficult, and there are many agencies out there who will charge a handsome price to get your products listed. Some companies get around getting individually listed on the schedule by establishing a distributor who has GSA listing for his distribution chain.
Central Contractors Registry (CCR)
Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is the primary registrant database for the U.S. Federal Government. CCR collects, validates, stores and disseminates data in support of agency acquisition missions.

IP Information (Ingress Protection)
A three-digit number established by the International Electrotechnical Commission, is used to provide an IP Rating to a piece of electronic equipment or to an enclosure for electronic equipment. The IP code indicates the level, or amount of the protection. The criteria and testing criteria to rate an item for IP is available for purchase from the IEC.
FCC Certification
FCC certification is required by the Federal Government for any manufactured product that may emit a signal of ANY SORT. Testing and certification can be purchased from outside firms such as TUV Rhineland or Underwriters Labratories DIFFICULT
